Biography
The Swiss artist Thomas Huber was born in Zurich in 1955. He studied at the Kunstgewerbeschule Basel, the Royal College of Art in London and the Düsseldorf Kunsthochschule.
While still a student, Huber developed a distinctive style characterized by clean lines, precise perspectives and often surreal scenarios. Thomas Huber's works are often introspective and explore the relationship between space, image and viewer. His paintings can be considered "paintings about paintings" as they often reflect on the art of painting itself and the role of the artist. Huber's work is known for its often cool, detached aesthetic, using architecture and space to raise questions about perception, reality, and illusion.
Thomas Huber has received extensive recognition throughout his career, both in Switzerland and internationally. His works have been shown in numerous solo and group exhibitions in galleries and museums around the world.
