Franz Ackermann is a contemporary German painter, graphic artist, sculptor and photographer. As a multimedia artist, Ackermann's work usually deals with themes such as globalization and commercialization. He is known for his large-scale, partly abstract paintings, in which he refers to various pop-cultural references, psychedelic painting and the visual language of advertising.
